Historic Moyaliffe House Open Days
Saturdays 8th and 15th May 2021, 10am to 5pm. Historic Moyaliffe House will open its gates to the public. The history of Moyaliffe goes back to 1200AD with its Norman fortress. Later, it was the site of a Cromwellian battle before being granted to the Armstrong family by Charles II. The estate consists of over 12 acres of expansive lawns, established garden beds, towering beech, oak and lime trees, Victorian fountain garden, with a 2 acre historic walled garden as well as period outbuildings . The grounds sit on the banks of the Clodagh River. Entrance will include guided tours of the gardens and house, historic displays and talks on the history of the Moyaliffe Estate and surrounding areas. Entrance fee is €5.00. Single day ticket can be used for either day. |
